The Fourth one by MilleCuirs The Fourth one by MilleCuirs
Here are a couple more angles on this fascinating book! The texture on this one is amazing. Such a fine leather. Texture was done using a woodburning tool for the scratches and all the little damaged area.

So cool. I love when the artist can manipulate the material they work with to look like anything. I love the texture.

Creepy! I expect the eyes to blink and the mouth to speak at any moment. I would be afraid to own something like this. I think it would crawl off the bookshelf and come after me.

Welll! .... lol
Our shaman knows how to read, but at the same time we created our own orc language, we have roughly 300 words. We try to have a minimum of intelligence.

I saw you at the Salon de la Passion Médiéval again, Excellent works of art as always! Although I do work leather, I wish I could learn to make books like you do, for myself. One day without a doubt, I will most definitely order something from you.

What did you use for the eyes and teeth?

All handmade! Glass domes for the eyes and sculpted polymer clay for the teeth.

You seems to master a really original technique with all those furry creatures! Once you get the hold of your own bookbinding technique, I'm sure you are gonna create amazing and original books! Its always chaotic with the first books, but you learn everytime you bound one. Its a lot of fun, lots of experimentations! Try some things, look online for tutorials, you will find the technique that fits you right!

Aww, thanks a ton! My biggest problem so far seems to be in the stitching of the text block. It just seems very... wobbly. Is it supposed to be that loose?

Oh no, should not be loose at all! It is pretty amazing how those folded paper bind together so tightly. There are a lot of tutorials online. Look around and find the technique thats suits you best! This is the one that is not quite simple, but when you get the hold of it, it is a really solid technique, the text block holds by itself!
